1. About Agora Connect

Agora Connect is a local business discovery platform for Nigeria. It helps users find businesses by category and location, and helps business owners improve their visibility through structured, moderated listings.

2. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or submit a business listing. When you register, you agree to:

• Provide accurate and current information
• Keep your login credentials confidential
• Accept responsibility for activity that happens under your account
• Notify us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised

Each Agora Connect service (directory, dashboard, admin) uses its own separate login. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, provide false information, or put the platform or its users at risk.

3. Acceptable use

You may use Agora Connect only in a lawful and responsible way. You agree not to:

• Use the platform for unlawful, misleading, or fraudulent purposes
• Submit false or deceptive information
• Impersonate another person or business
• Interfere with site security or operation
• Attempt unauthorized access to our systems or other users' accounts
• Copy, scrape, or republish content without permission
• Post harmful, infringing, or offensive material

4. Business listings and submissions

By submitting business information, you confirm that:

• The information is accurate to the best of your knowledge
• You own the business or are authorized to represent it
• You have the right to upload any images or materials you provide
• The content does not violate any law or third-party rights

Submitting a business does not guarantee publication. Every submission is reviewed before going live. We may approve, reject, edit, pause, archive, feature, or remove listings at our discretion, and significant edits to a published listing may be reviewed again before the changes appear. We may also request verification of business ownership at any time.

5. Comments and reports

Users may comment on business listings. Comments are moderated and appear publicly with the name you provide. You agree that your comments will be honest, relevant, and free of abusive, defamatory, or unlawful content. We may edit, hide, or remove comments at our discretion.

If you report a listing, you agree to do so in good faith and to provide accurate information. Deliberately false reports may lead to restrictions on your use of the platform.

6. Your content and our license

You keep ownership of the content you submit, including business descriptions, images, and comments. By submitting content, you grant Agora Connect a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, display, and distribute that content on the platform and in materials that promote the platform, for as long as the content remains on Agora Connect.

The Agora Connect name, logo, design, and platform content belong to us. You may not use them without our written permission.

7. No endorsement and user responsibility

Agora Connect helps users discover businesses, but we do not guarantee, endorse, or warrant any business, product, or service appearing on the platform. Review and verification reduce risk; they do not eliminate it.

Users should use their own judgment before engaging with a business. Any transaction, payment, or communication between a user and a listed business is solely between those parties.

8. Availability and limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Agora Connect is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.

We do not guarantee that the platform will always be available, that listings will be complete or accurate, or that the service will be free from errors or interruptions. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Agora Connect is not liable for losses arising from dealings between users and listed businesses, or from reliance on listing content.

9. Termination

You may stop using Agora Connect at any time and may request removal of your account or listing by contacting support. We may suspend or terminate access to the platform where these Terms are violated or where necessary to protect the platform and its users. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including content licenses for published material, liability limits, and governing law) survive.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the platform evolves. When we make material changes, we will update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify account holders. Continued use of Agora Connect after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, unless another mandatory law applies to a specific issue.
