Terms of Use

By using the Agora Connect website or joining the early-access pilot, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the site. If you are using Agora Connect on behalf of a business, you confirm that you are authorised to act for that business.

Agora Connect is a local business discovery platform for Nigeria. We help people find businesses by city and category, and we help businesses become easier to find. The site is currently in a pre-launch stage: you can join the list for early access, and business owners can register their interest ahead of launch.

We intend to open early access to subscribers on 1 September 2026, with a public launch on 1 October 2026. These dates reflect our current plan rather than a guarantee. We may adjust them, open the pilot in stages, or change what is available. Joining the list creates no paid contract, and access during the pilot is provided free of charge.

Please provide accurate information when you join the list, and keep it current. You are responsible for the details you submit. We handle your personal data as set out in our Privacy Policy.

Once listings are live, each business owner is responsible for the accuracy of their listing, including contact details, prices, opening hours and any claims they make. Listing a business does not make that business an employee, agent or partner of Agora Connect. We operate a directory, and any transaction, payment or arrangement you enter into with a business is solely between you and that business.

We confirm the owner, phone number and trading address before a listing goes live, and we may display a verified badge. Verification means we have carried out reasonable checks. It is not a guarantee of quality, and it does not make us responsible for the work a business carries out. We may review, edit, refuse or remove any listing or content that breaches these terms or that we are unable to confirm.

The Agora Connect name, logo, design, text and other site content belong to us or to our licensors, and are protected by law. You may not use our brand or reproduce our content without written permission. When you submit content such as a business listing, you grant us permission to display and promote it as part of operating the platform.

The site may link to other websites and services, including a business's own page or social media profile. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content or practices. Please use your own judgement when following any link.

Agora Connect is provided "as is" and "as available", particularly during the pilot. We work to keep the site accurate and running, but we do not warrant that it will always be available, free of error, or that every listing is complete and current. Please use your own judgement when relying on any listing.

To the extent permitted by law, Agora Connect is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss arising from your dealings with a business you found through the platform. Nothing in these terms removes any right you hold that cannot be excluded under Nigerian law.

We may update these terms as the platform develops. Where we make a significant change, we will revise the date above. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and any dispute arising from them will be subject to the jurisdiction of the Nigerian courts.
